This hammer is hand-forged and then tempered, making it strong and durable. The ends are smooth to shape the leather or flatten seams without damaging the leather.
The exotic wood handle is decorated with brass rivets that secure the steel piece. The inscriptions "1823" and "Blanchard" are engraved on both sides of the handle, recalling the historical character of this beautiful object.
A stiffener is inserted into the 600g hammer head to reduce vibrations.
This traditional saddler's hammer will suit all leatherwork and craft enthusiasts. Assembly and finishing are carried out manually in France in the Vergez Blanchard workshop. Each piece thus has a unique and authentic appearance.
Deco Cuir Tip: Do not strike metal objects with this hammer, as this would create marks that would then transfer to the leather.
