LEATHER MARKING HANDLE
This hexagonal brass handle allows you to screw on a 50 mm (ref. TB334_50 ) or 80 mm (ref. TB334_80 ) character holder in order to personalize your leather creations with brass characters.
This handle allows you to hot or cold stamp leather.
- Cold embossing only on natural vegetable tanned leather without finishing (which absorbs water). Moisten the vegetable tanned leather before striking the characters. We recommend striking the handle with a wooden or nylon mallet (steel hammers are not recommended ) and using a marble slab as a striking support to absorb vibrations.
- Hot engraving on all types of leather (mineral and vegetable tanning). Heat the brass characters with a gas stove for example. Apply the characters to the leather then gently strike the handle with a wooden or nylon mallet. Use gloves to hold the handle without burning yourself.
