This wooden awl handle, set with a polished brass ring, has a very beautiful finish. Part of the handle is flat to ensure a good grip . This will allow you to always take the tool in the same way and will guarantee a constant inclination of your seam. The thread and the tightening screw are made of stainless steel which will avoid any corrosion problems and give your tools maximum lifespan.

The awl handle is supplied with 2 mandrels . These metal chucks are reversible and have a specific diameter at each end. So, you have 4 different diameters to adapt your awl blade. Most of the awl blades available on the market are compatible with this handle. Wooden handle (Cocobolo or Bocote depending on availability)

Of course, for optimal use, we recommend Barry King Tools blades.

The assembly of the blade must be done smoothly. Choose the chuck best suited to your blade. Loosen the screw, insert the blade into the chuck and then retighten. To hold the blade properly, we recommend using a 3/8" wrench for perfect tightening.
If you do not have this tool, an adjustable wrench or pliers will do the job.

This handle is sold without a blade.
