Assemble your pieces using the matted rivet technique. Your creation will have an authentic look. This assembly technique is one of the oldest and most durable.

The head of the rivet has a slightly hammered appearance.

Two mounting methods :

Either with a T41 rivet setting tool , such as model ref. 8110-00 :
- Make a 4 mm diameter hole in your parts to be assembled. Pass the rivet through the inside of your parts. Thread the washer, then tighten it using the installation tool. Cut off the excess material with pliers, leaving about 2 mm of material. Start peening using the concave part of the installation tool. Finish the assembly by peening the rod onto the washer with a hammer.
- The matting operation must be carried out on a firm work surface, you can place an Ertalon plate to protect your support and the head of the rivet.

Either with the 3960-00 hand press and a T41 rivet setting set (ref. 3983-01 ):
- Using a round punch, make a 4 mm hole in your leather
- Insert part L into the lower part of the press.
- Insert part U-1 into the upper part of the press. Place the head of the rivet on part L, insert the leather, then the washer. Press the press lever to tighten the rivet with the washer.
- Using wire cutters, cut off the excess stem, leaving approximately 2 mm.
- Insert part U-2 in place of part U-1. Press the press lever to clamp the rod onto the washer.
