LEATHER CARVING PATTERNS

This book presents 20 refined leather carving patterns for enthusiasts with some experience.

You will find patterns of:
- horses (single, in groups, with a cowboy, with an Indian, with a foal)
- wild animals (deer, pheasant, bird)
- flowers and trees
- fishing and hunting scenes

For each design, there is a photo of the final result and a drawing showing the outline of the pattern that you will need to reproduce on the leather using tracing paper, then cut out using a swivel knife, and finally perform the carving with stamping tools.

The author also suggests areas of leather to completely remove to openwork the design and thus give more relief. You will easily identify them as they are orange in the drawings, but you can also leave the leather and do a carving using background tools.

There are also 5 pages with many very clear diagrams explaining how to do two-needle stitching and how to create different types of lacing.

Finally, this book also provides 3 different alphabet patterns that you can enlarge or reduce using a photocopier.

In this book, the explanations are in English, but the many drawings will allow you to easily understand the instructions.
