LEATHER BONE FOLDER
This tool, also called a burnisher or sometimes a folder, is made of white bone.The elongated bone burnisher, with one pointed and one rounded end, features a thinned but non-cutting edge used to lightly mark the flesh side of the leather to facilitate edge folding, to press down the folded edge after gluing and lifting, to push out the corners of seams when assembling inside out, to prevent bubbles during gluing, and to properly apply leather, fabric, or paper in case making, etc.
