BONE FOLDER FOR LEATHER
This tool, called a folder or sometimes a bone folder, is made of white bone, slightly curved.The elongated bone folder, with one pointed and one rounded end, has a thinned but non-cutting edge that is used to lightly mark the flesh side of the leather to facilitate folding, to fold down the edge after gluing and lifting, to push out seam corners when assembling inside-out, to prevent bubbles during gluing, and to properly apply leather, fabric, and paper in box making, etc.
