Depending on where the straps are stored, as well as the season (e.g., high heat), the leather can become very dry and therefore difficult to work with. We recommend nourishing the flesh side and edges with neatsfoot oil before any work (to prevent the grain from cracking). Do not nourish pull-up, oily, or already nourished leather.
