MICROSPHERE BLADE - LEATHER STITCHING
Discover the Deco Cuir stainless steel microsphere round awl blade, designed for hand leather stitching. Its ball-shaped tip prevents piercing the sewing thread when making a backstitch. The shape of this blade has been perfectly designed: it is conical at the tip then cylindrical thereafter.
Unlike a pricking awl, the round awl is not used for piercing, but for enlarging an existing hole or repassing the thread during leather stitching.
This blade fits handles with a base diameter of 2 mm, such as Jérôme David round awl handles (available here) or screw handles (available here). It can be inserted more or less deeply into the handle.
Material: stainless steel
Dimensions :
- Total length: 70 mm
- Max blade diameter: 2 mm
- Ball diameter: 1.1 mm
Made in France for Deco Cuir
Blade sold alone, without handle
