This aluminum applicator is made in France and is highly praised by major leather goods manufacturers. It's a high-end tool used like an applicator pen. Very precise and lightweight, it is designed for professionals who work in series and for whom quality of finish is not an option, but a requirement.

A significant advantage of L'Utile over an applicator pen is its retention capacity: a single charge of dye covers several tens of centimeters with a consistently even application. Moreover, the edge finish is perfectly applied; it doesn't bleed onto the leather.

Using L'Utile is very simple: just dip its tip into the edge finish pot. The finish then gradually spreads onto the leather edge, without excess.
The side screw adjusts the tip's opening according to the viscosity of your edge finish: open it for thicker products like edge filler and tighten it for more fluid edge dyes.
Prior tests on a leather scrap are recommended to find the optimal setting.
