Before embarking on your creation, always do a test beforehand on a piece of leather or old shoes.

MANUAL : Leather Deco Info : Angelus paints are quality paints with a high pigment content. It is necessary to homogenize the paint by shaking the bottle vigorously before use. Some colors are difficult to mix and small lumps may appear during application. You just have to smooth them with the brush to make them disappear. This is normal and does not constitute a quality defect.
Recommendations for use for shoes:
- It is very important to prepare your shoe before it receives the paint to obtain an optimal result. Clean it carefully, even if it is new. You can use the Angelus pre-paint preparator and cleaner for sale on our site.
Do not use the preparer on any surface other than leather (plastic soles, rubber edges, etc.)
In the case of very smooth leather such as patent leather, you can sand the surface very lightly with a very fine sandpaper so that the paint sticks well.
- During the painting operation, take care to apply very thin coats to avoid cracking when drying. The paint is applied with a brush. Let the Angelus paint dry well between coats. Never dry the paint with a hair dryer, it could crack.
- If you want to lighten a color, you can use the Neutral paint.
- Fix and protect your painting with the matte or glossy acrylic finish (for sale on our site) . We advise you to apply between 2 and 4 coats. This will greatly reduce wear and scratches on your leather.
Care of the brushes:
- Do not let the paint dry on the brushes.
- Do not allow paint to enter the ferrule.
- Clean immediately after each use with Angelus Brush Cleaner (WA075) or soapy water.
- Do not let brushes sit in water.
