Usage tips :
- Use an ERTALON plate, a vinyl plate, or a self-healing mat as a cutting surface.
- Your chisel should be perfectly vertical when striking.
- Strike with a wooden or polymer mallet; it should be heavy enough for precise and less fatiguing cuts. Do not use a steel hammer. With one strike of the mallet, you mark several holes in the leather for your stitching. You can also completely pierce thin leathers (max 1mm).
- When marking thick leathers, do not hesitate to apply a thin layer of beeswax to the teeth to facilitate gliding and avoid damaging the chisel.

Which spacing should I choose for my creation?
The spacing is the distance between two stitches: it should be chosen according to the item you wish to create (aesthetic choice).
Different combinations of spacing/thread diameter give different aesthetic results: it's up to you to choose!
