Leather training for beginners: Discovering basic leatherworking techniques.

Over the course of a day, come and learn the basic concepts of working with leather and various techniques: embossing, saddle stitching, dyeing, etc.

Location: in the premises of our physical store in Campbon (44) located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire in Loire-Atlantique.
Duration: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Lunch: lunch is not included. We invite you to bring your own meal. A refrigerator, a microwave, and a dining area will be at your disposal.

Our trainer, Anthony Hervy, is a leather goods artisan and works with passion and respect for traditions. He will be attentive to your needs and can answer all your questions.

Program:
- Presentation of different types of leather and their uses
- Presentation of the main tools and demonstration (sharpening concepts)
- Saddle stitching
- Presentation of hammering and embossing techniques
- Creation of an embossed leather plaque (using the swivel knife)
- Presentation of different dyes and edge finishes. If there is still some time, you can dye your creation.

We offer a standard training program, but the trainer will adapt to the requests of the trainees.

- If you add the "paper catalog" (offered) to your order in the cart, shipping costs will be requested. We advise you to wait until the day of the training to discover it.
- If the number of participants is insufficient, DECO CUIR reserves the right to cancel the training.
- Any withdrawal reported at the latest three weeks before the internship will not result in any refund unless another trainee takes the available place.
