Description

REGAD SPECIAL CREASER N°7

Used hot along the leather, the Regad N°7 leather creaser creates a perfectly regular line. The mark made on the leather is ideal for guiding stitching, marking fold lines, cut marks, or decorative outlines.

Ets Regad has been a French manufacturer of electric tools for manual finishing operations in leather goods since 1930.

Features:
- Attaches to a handle without a heating cartridge, such as reference TB236
- Specificity: Flat-bottom groove
- Width: 3 mm
- Depth: 1.5 mm
- Fillet thickness: 0.5 mm
- Max tool height: 67 mm
- Max tool width: 26 mm

This tool will be positioned at the edge of your piece of leather (hot marking technique). The fillet will serve as a guide along your piece of leather to create a line perfectly parallel to your cut.
When in use, this fillet will also smooth the upper fibers of the edge.

The appearance of the fillet on the leather depends on several parameters, such as the tool's temperature, the type of leather, and the speed at which the hot tool passes over the leather. We recommend always performing tests on leather scraps to adjust the settings.

We advise you to regularly check that the heating tool is well tightened on the handle to prevent oxidation and an electrical fault between the tool and the handle.

Deco Cuir Info: The tips may blacken more or less after a few uses. Residues of edge dye or other finishing products may also remain stuck on your tools. You can clean them by using polishing paste previously applied to a piece of leather and rubbing the warm tool (TH2 to 4) on it. In case of extreme fouling, extra fine steel wool (000) can be used. Be careful not to touch the electrical resistance part to avoid damaging it.
