Maximum recommended leather thickness: between 2 and 3 mm (if you have thinner leather, you can add reinforcement behind it).
Clasp assembly :
For the upper part: cut a 20 mm triangular notch + three 2 mm notches for the screws, then screw the two parts together to hold the leather.
For the lower part (with the knob): simply make three notches a few millimeters wide, place the plate, and spread the clasp's prongs (like a brad fastener) to hold the leather.
Feel free to try it on a leather scrap to accurately measure the notches!
