Description

BAG CLOSURE - BUBBLE EFFECT

Since 1830, the prestigious Maison Poursin has offered a range of brass buckles and accessories for saddlery and leather goods, made in France.

This 19th century Hussars Staff Lock (SEM) has a raised pattern that gives a bubble effect. It will be ideal for an elegant closure of your leather goods creations.

This bag clasp is made up of two pieces that fit together. The closure is done by turning the "button".

Let yourself be seduced by French elegance!

Material: Brass
Finish: Polished brass without varnish and without galvanic treatment.
Over time, the clasp may naturally oxidize and develop a patina. This is not a defect, and it can be cleaned with a product suitable for brass.

Dimensions :
- Maximum dimensions of the closed clasp: 47 x 65 mm
- Dimensions of the upper part: 47 x 32 mm
- Dimensions of the lower part: 40 x 65 mm
- Inner diameter of fixing holes: 2.8 mm
- Rivet head diameter: 5.8 mm
- Length of the foot shaft: 7 mm

Suitable for a recommended leather thickness between 2 and 4 mm.

Assembly :
- For the upper part: Cut a rectangle in the leather of 11 x 18 mm + make 3 holes of 3 mm for the rivets. Crimp the rivets with the PRESSE setting set for T2 rivets and a bench press (sold separately).
- For the lower part (with the button): Drill a 13 mm hole to insert the button rotation system. Make 4 3 mm holes for the rivets. Crimp the rivets.

Don't hesitate to do a test on a piece of leather to properly measure the cuts to be made!
It is possible to set the rivets with a T2 rivet setting pliers set and blue hand pliers or with a set of hammer setting tools for snap fasteners and rivets - 8105-00 but it will take a little more force to set the rivets.

Each clasp is made up of two pieces and six single cap rivets.
