- Steel hammers are not recommended. Use a wooden or polymer mallet instead.
- When using small diameter punches (less than 4 mm), depending on the leather used (density, thickness, etc.), the leather scraps may tend to get stuck in the tool's discharge channel. To prevent it from clogging, we advise removing the scraps regularly using a small metal rod (round-tip needle, round awl, etc.).
- You can also facilitate the tool's cutting by applying a little beeswax to the edge of the punch before each use.
Caution: All professional cutting tools from the Vergez Blanchard brand are delivered pre-sharpened. For optimal use, we recommend refining their sharpness before use.
