Made of brass , this opening knife is delicately decorated with embossed oak leaf motifs. Every detail testifies to the expertise of Sergey Neskromniy, renowned worldwide for the finesse and originality of his leather stamping tools.
Two discreet screws are located on the handle: one is used to adjust the height of the stirrup and the other is used to fix the blade.
The blade mounting diameter is 5.5 mm (7/32") . The opening knife is supplied without a blade . You can choose from our wide range of blades (available here ) to find the one that best suits your needs.
The smooth stirrup offers a very soft feel under the fingers. Thanks to its impeccable finish, the handle ensures a secure, stable, and comfortable grip. The stirrup is mounted on a ball bearing system. The maneuverability of this tool makes it ideal for executing highly delicate movements: elegant curves, arabesques, sharp angles, or complex patterns—everything becomes possible with a freer, more intuitive hand.
Instructions for use :
- Insert a blade with a 7/32" (5.5 mm) fixing diameter. Blade sold separately.
- The index finger is positioned on the stirrup, the thumb and middle finger on either side of the handle as if holding a pencil. The index finger is used to control the cutting depth, while the other fingers are used to rotate the tool to create the desired shapes.
- The leather must be moistened with a modeling preparation before being incised.

Supplied with an Allen key for tightening the screws and a spare screw.
