VULKOFEST 96: GLUES EVERYTHING BUT PVC
Renia's Vulkofest 96 contact adhesive can be used on all types of common material combinations such as leather, rubber, TPR (thermoplastic rubber), fabric, felt, cork, PU, metal, EVA (not suitable for plasticized PVC and PE / PP). You can also glue greasy leather by adding 5 to 10% of Renia Härter "C" additive (ref. WA198_100).
Renia Vulkofest 96 adhesive is particularly renowned for shoe manufacturing and orthopedic work.
The open time of 15 to 120 minutes depending on the materials is ideal for series production and large surfaces to be glued.
This universal adhesive is easy to use and remains transparent when drying (does not yellow). It can be used cold or hot and can be dried under an infrared lamp.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Lightly sand the surface to be glued with a file or a rasp.
- Apply a thin layer of adhesive with a brush or spatula. On firm and dense materials (e.g. rubber), the adhesive is applied to only one of the two surfaces to be glued. On porous materials (leather, PUR...), the adhesive is applied to both surfaces to be glued.
- Let dry for 15 to 120 minutes.
- Glue the two elements together and press firmly with a roller or a mallet for optimal adhesion.
- If you exceed the drying time, the glue can be reactivated with heat (infrared lamp or hairdryer for example).
This adhesive is packaged in a metal pot with a brush integrated into the lid for direct application. It should be stored by carefully closing the pot after each use. In case of thickening due to solvent evaporation, the Renia thinner for neoprene glue (ref. WA197_1L) will restore its fluidity.
