Description
BONE GLUE 200G OR 500G
Bone glue of animal origin in brown colored beads.
Bone glue is a glue that allows you to stiffen or shape your leather. It will make your leather very resistant. You can also use it to glue wood, paper...This traditional and ancestral bone glue has many advantages:
- By completely soaking your piece of leather in the glue: you will be able to shape the leather (the glue takes several hours to dry).
- It is reversible when hot: if necessary, it is possible to dissolve the bond by reheating the parts and then repositioning them correctly.
- Environmentally friendly glue: based on 100% recyclable and biodegradable proteins. Does not contain solvents.
Instructions for use :
- Mix the pearls with cold water (about 50g of pearls for 450 ml of water) . Mix regularly for the first 15 minutes then leave to rest for about 12 hours.
- Melt this mixture in a bain-marie, stirring from time to time (do not boil the glue).
- Bone glue can be diluted with a little cold water if you need a larger quantity of glue.
- If you used a dye, you can protect it with leather balm.
- Depending on your project, you can dip your piece of leather in the glue, leave it for a few minutes so that it soaks up the glue, and do your modeling. You can also apply the glue with a brush.
- Clean excess glue with a few drops of water and a cloth to avoid leaving marks when drying.
- Leave to dry for several hours.
