Description

ORTEC RENIA GLUE

Ortec contact glue is a universal adhesive that can be used on all types of common material combinations such as leather, rubber, TPR (thermoplastic rubber), fabric, felt, cork, PU, metal, and even foams, EVA, latex, Plastazote, PE, and PP (not suitable for silicone or plasticized PVC). You can also glue oily leather by adding 5 to 10% of Renia additive Härter "C" (ref. WA198_100).

Ortec Renia glue is particularly recognized for shoemaking and orthopedic work.

The open time is 10 to 60 minutes depending on the materials.
This universal glue is easy to use and remains transparent when drying (does not yellow). It can be used cold or hot and can be dried under an infrared lamp.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Lightly sand the surface to be glued with a file or rasp.
- Apply a thin layer of glue with a brush or spatula. On firm and dense materials (e.g., rubber), glue is applied to only one of the two surfaces to be glued. On porous materials (leather, PUR...), glue is applied to both surfaces to be glued.
- Let dry for 10 to 60 minutes.
- Glue the two elements together and press firmly with a roller or maroufleur for optimal adhesion.
- If the drying time is exceeded, the glue can be reactivated with heat (infrared lamp or hair dryer, for example).

This glue is packaged in a metal pot with a brush integrated into the cap for direct application. It keeps well by carefully closing the pot after each use. In case of thickening due to solvent evaporation, the Renia thinner for neoprene glue (ref. WA197_1L) restores its fluidity.
