Description

LEATHERCRAFT THREAD BURNER - REGAD HEATING TOOL

Used hot with a creasing iron, the 122LC leathercraft thread burner allows for precise cauterization of synthetic threads. With a simple touch, the conical tip cuts and welds the thread cleanly and invisibly: the thread does not fray and no bead is formed. The stitching has a perfect, durable finish.
The angled orientation facilitates access to seams, even those that are difficult to reach, particularly in corners and crevices.

This conical tip can also be used for finishing holes.

Ets Regad has been a French manufacturer of electric tools for manual leather finishing operations since 1930.

Specifications:
- Attaches to a handle without a heating cartridge, such as reference TB236
- Angled conical tip
- Diameter (base of the tip): 3 mm
- Conical tip length: 6 mm
- Total tool length: 50 mm

Usage recommendations:
- Perform tests on scrap leather to adjust settings.
- Regularly check that the heating tool is tightened firmly on the handle to prevent oxidation and the creation of an electrical fault between the tool and the handle.
- The tips may darken slightly after a few uses. Residues of edge paint or other finishing products may also remain stuck to your tools. You can clean them by applying polishing paste to a piece of leather and rubbing the lukewarm tool (TH2 to 4) on it. In case of extreme dirt, extra-fine steel wool (000) can be used. Be careful not to touch the electrical resistance part so as not to damage it.
