To facilitate the passage of the strap and avoid damaging it, the pin is offset and the width measured at the pin is slightly smaller than the width measured at the edge of the buckle ("max internal width").
Example: In the product photo, a buckle with an internal width at the pin of 20 mm and a strap with a width of 20 mm were used.
Over time, brass can naturally oxidize, and a "verdigris" patina may appear. This is not a defect and can be cleaned with a suitable brass cleaner.
