Description
SMALL MARO DIAMOND AWL
Please note, this tool is not an ordinary awl, it is the demonstration of the intelligence and know-how of a French craftsman who has completely rethought the design of an ancient tool: the awl with pliers .The awl is an extension of the hand, it must be pleasant to use in order to do quality work. Among all the saddler/leatherworker's tools, the awl is the one you will have most often in your hands, so you must know how to equip yourself with a good tool.
The blade is made of high-performance cobalt steel and comes already perfectly sharpened .
The ferrule is made of titanium , its tip is fully polished and does not mark the leather, even if the blade is pushed all the way in.
The wooden handle is ergonomic and will provide you with excellent comfort of use, it has a flat surface which will allow you to always pick up the awl in the same way, thus allowing you to have a regular cutting angle.
You can choose the rotation of the blade relative to the handle in order to obtain exactly the point you want by using the screw at the end of the handle (TORX screw no. 15).
The shape of the blade has been perfectly studied in order to penetrate the leather like butter, but also to be able to come out without having to feel that little blocking point specific to ordinary awls.
