Please note, this tool is not an ordinary awl; it is a demonstration of the intelligence and savoir-faire of a French artisan who has completely redesigned the concept of an ancient tool: the pointed awl.
While everyone thought this tool would no longer evolve, Jérôme David now offers you a very high-quality tool.

The awl is an extension of the hand; it must be pleasant to use to achieve quality work. Among all the saddler/leatherworker's tools, the awl is the one you will hold most often, so it is essential to equip yourself with a good one.

By combining aesthetics, ergonomics, precious materials, and high technology, Jérôme David has invented the awl we all once dreamed of owning.

The blade is made of high-performance cobalt steel and comes already perfectly sharpened.
Its 2 mm width allows for stitching on leather goods.

The ferrule is made of titanium, its tip is fully polished and does not mark the leather, even when the blade is pushed in all the way.

The handle is ergonomic and will provide excellent comfort of use. It features a flat side that allows you to grip the awl in the same way every time, ensuring a consistent cutting angle.

You can adjust the rotation of the blade relative to the handle to achieve precisely the stitch you desire by using the screw at the end of the handle (TORX N°15 screw).

The blade is very sharp and comes pre-sharpened, which is a significant time-saver as this operation is often tedious. You will only need to maintain the blade's sharpness by passing it over a strop leather occasionally.
The blade's shape has been perfectly designed to penetrate leather like butter, but also to withdraw without experiencing the slight sticking typical of ordinary awls.

- Tricolor, composed of 3 precious woods from 3 continents: Gabon ebony (Africa), French Jura boxwood (Europe), and Amourette (America). Woods react differently to temperature and humidity variations, which is why a slight demarcation between the woods may be felt to the touch.
- Blue, composed of high-density stabilized multilayer wood.

The wood comes from FSC certified sustainable forests.

In case of a problem, the diamond-shaped blade can be replaced (sold as a spare part) and is removed with a small TORX N°6 screw on the side.
