OKA DIAMOND POINT AWL - PRO RANGE
This awl with jaws allows you to punch a diamond-shaped hole in leather. It is essential for saddle stitching (hand-stitching leather).
This professional quality tool has a hardened steel blade sharpened by hand to penetrate and withdraw from leather effortlessly.
The handle is made from Japanese hornbeam wood. This hard and resistant wood is raw (unvarnished), making it perfect for prolonged contact with the hand. Two lines in the center of the handle create a non-slip surface for the thumb and middle finger.
This diamond awl has a brass ferrule for a beautiful finish.
The blade is well-centered and perpendicular to the handle. It is perfectly straight so that the hole made is always the same size, whether you insert the blade fully or partially.
