EL MATERIAL NECESARIO

Para realizar este tutorial, necesitará:

• 1 trozo de cuero de cuello de curtido vegetal natural CLASSIC - 30 x 40 cm - Esp. 1,2 mm
• 1 bote de tinte al aceite - Fiebing's OIL DYE / PRO DYE - Leonado (Fauve)
• 1 tarjeta de hilo de lino encerado MeiSi súper fino M50 - CARAMELO
• 1 bote de aceite de pata de buey
• 1 bote de goma adragante o Tokonole
• 1 bote de cola de contacto a base de agua

• 1 herramienta de ranurado "L'indispensable"
• 1 biselador N°00 - Barry king tools
• 1 fileteador de marroquinero con guía 1,5 mm - Deco Cuir

1. IMPRIMIR Y CORTAR EL PATRÓN

Imprima el patrón PDF en papel A4. Tenga cuidado de respetar el tamaño original del documento.
Corte el patrón y péguelo sobre un papel rígido o cartón.

• Print PDF file on A4 paper, making sure your printer settings respect the original scale of the document (check Print Guide on the last page).
• Cut out paper template and glue the paper template to card stock.

2. TEÑIR EL CUERO DE CURTIDO VEGETAL

Tiña el cuero de curtido vegetal con un paño suave. Aquí: tinte al aceite FIEBING'S OIL DYE / PRO DYE - FAUVE - SADDLE TAN.
Nutra y saque brillo al cuero con aceite de pata de buey.

• Tint the vegetable tanned leather. Here : FIEBING'S Professionnal OIL DYE / PRO DYE - FAUVE - SADDLE TAN
• Nourish the leather with neatsfoot oil.

3. CORTAR EL CUERO CON AYUDA DEL PATRÓN

Con las piezas cortadas del patrón, marque los elementos sobre el cuero. Le aconsejamos utilizar un lápiz de plata.
Corte el cuero siguiendo las líneas trazadas.

• Using cut-out template, scribe pattern onto the leather.
• Cut leather along your scribed lines.

4. TRABAJAR LOS CANTOS QUE NO SE COSERÁN

Prepare los cantos con un biselador, luego tiña y pula los bordes (con goma adragante) que no se coserán (la parte superior del tarjetero y el interior de la cara frontal). Si es necesario, utilice papel abrasivo suave para igualar antes de pulir.
Utilice un fileteador de marroquinero para añadir una línea decorativa en los bordes preparados.

• Dress and burnish edges that will not be stitched - Card Panel and inside of Front Panel.
• Using edge creaser, add decorative crease lines along these edges.

5. PEGAR EL TARJETERO SOBRE LA CARA FRONTAL

Pegue el tarjetero sobre la cara frontal a lo largo de la línea de costura exterior indicada en el tarjetero.

• Glue the Card Panel to the Front Panel, along the stitch lines indicated on the sides of the Card Panel.

6. REALIZAR UNA COSTURA A PUNTO DE GUARNICIONERO

Cosa el tarjetero sobre la cara frontal: línea de costura situada en el medio e indicada en el patrón. James ha optado por una costura a punto de guarnicionero.

• Stitch down the middle part of the Card Panel onto the Front Panel using pricking irons or awl to make the holes.

7. PEGAR EL FORRO SOBRE LA CARA TRASERA

Si desea añadir un forro: péguelo con cola a base de agua sobre la cara trasera.

• If you want to have an inner coat : glue it with aquagum on the Back Panel.

8. PEGAR LA CARA FRONTAL SOBRE LA CARA TRASERA

Pegue la cara frontal y la cara trasera, luego deje reposar su proyecto hasta que la cola esté bien seca.

• Glue the Front Panel to the Back Panel and let your project sit for a couple of hours till the glue sets.

9. TRABAJAR LOS CANTOS

Realice un corte fino alrededor de todo su proyecto para igualar los bordes pegados; si es necesario, utilice papel abrasivo para igualar.
Luego trabaje los cantos con un biselador, tiña y pula los bordes (con goma adragante). Si es necesario, utilice papel abrasivo suave para igualar antes de pulir.

• Clean the outer edges to be stitched by cutting a clean edge or sanding until all layers of leather are flush.
• Dress and burnish edges that will not be stitched - Card Panel and inside of Front Panel.

10. COSER EL PORTAPASAPORTES

Trace una línea de costura a 3 mm del borde alrededor de todo el proyecto, marque los puntos (ruleta de marcar o tenedor de golpe) y cosa según su técnica habitual. James ha optado por una costura a punto de guarnicionero.

• Mark your stitching line 3 mm from the edge, punch holes for stitching using pricking irons or awl, and stitch.

11. REALIZAR UN FILETE DECORATIVO

Utilice un fileteador de marroquinero para añadir una línea decorativa sobre los bordes preparados.
Luego encere los cantos calentando cera de abeja.

• Using edge creaser, add a decorative crease line along the edge.

12. ENCERAR Y PROTEGER SU CREACIÓN
